FEEDS THE TRIAD
COVID-19 has created an unprecedented need for food in the Triad. Families are lining up for miles hoping local food banks can help them feed their children during this challenging period when unemployment is at record levels and uncertainty abounds. When an entire neighborhood joins together to help a neighbor in need, beautiful things happen.
I'm asking you to join me in providing relief for these families by donating non-perishable food items I will distribute on your behalf to three separate food banks--Second Harvest Food Bank, Out of the Garden Project and Communities in Schools.
Here's how this will work:
Tell me who you are, where you live, how to reach you and anything you'd like to let me know about picking up your donation (beware of dog, use the side porch, etc.) Use this form.
STEP ONE: Where Do I Pick Up?
STEP TWO: Prepare Your Donation
Choose the non-perishable items you'd like to donate, place them in a plastic or paper bag you don't mind parting with and wait on instructions as to when I will pick them up.
STEP THREE: Wait to Hear From Me
I will collect between May 11-14. I'll let you know when I'll be stopping by your home. Please leave your donation outside as we practice social distancing. I'll knock to say hi and thank you in person through the door, if you're available. Otherwise, I'll grab and go!
Thank you so much for joining me in this effort. We will make it through this challenging time. I am most grateful for your teamwork and inspired by your willingness to give when our neighbors need it most. Blessings to you and your family!
